Teen Quest provides “at risk” teens with a program that truly prepares them for adult life by teaching the right use of power, inter-personal relationship skills, creative development, leadership and wilderness awareness. The after-school program involves four 10-week training segments coupled with participation in martial arts to develop the teen’s personal power. Additional weekend workshops will promote teens’ relationship to the community, the natural world and the discovery of their own innate creativity. The Teen Quest After School Program is an independent, private, non-profit organization, which provides educational and challenging activities for youth ages 12 to 18 throughout the school year. Additional weekend activities and summer activities are available. The program will coordinate with the juvenile court system, community programs and local school districts, thereby serving as an anti-gang program. |
